Farmers are the backbone of society, and are responsible for giving us the food we eat every day. Orchard farmers in particular, face many difficulties due to the labor intensive nature of the work and the lack of mechanization, which is why we decided to tackle this area first.

Kisui Tech is a Tohoku University startup devoted to utilizing technology, such as UGV tech inspired from my PhD conducting AI research on lunar rovers, in order to help solve some pressing problems including lack of workers and aging society.

These issues often disproportionately affect the countryside and lead to inequalities. We believe that by digitalizing farming, we can reduce these inequalities, while creating great jobs both directly and indirectly, and revitalizing the economy.

There is a lot of work to do, and we are ready to take on the challenge to utilize these technologies to grow family farm sizes, and to lead to more profitable farming.
